Chat with privacy and safety in mind
SayHey is for adults aged 18 or over. A nickname is not identity verification, and strangers can save or forward what you send. Do not share passwords, payment details, home addresses or other sensitive information. Messages are not promised to be end-to-end encrypted.

Is random chat on SayHey free?
Yes. Random matching is free. Gender-filtered matching is an optional paid feature.
Do I need to create an account?
No conventional account is required. SayHey uses a random browser-based identifier, a nickname and your selected gender label for matching and chat.
Can I send photos and videos?
Yes. The web app supports text, photo and video messages, subject to browser compatibility and the size limits shown in the app.
Where is my chat history stored?
History is stored in the current browser only. It does not automatically follow you to another browser or device, and clearing site data can remove access to it.
Is SayHey for adults?
Yes. SayHey is intended for people aged 18 or over.
Free random matching remains available even when optional purchases are unavailable.
